On the weekend
On the weekend my cousin came for the weekend. We played tag at home. My brother got found first then I got found second. Then my brother was in. I got found first this time. My cousin won it.
My cousin said, “Can we have some ice cream
please? Dad said, “Yes you can.” It was cool as with my cousin. We went inside. We had corn beef stew. It was yummy. We went to do the jobs. I washed the dishes and my brother and cousin did the dishes. Then we went to bed.

Dear Mum and Dad
I wanted to share with my family what I was learning about sound.
Dear Mum and Dad
I have been learning about Sound.
Sound is energy and power because it makes rice jump, it can make water splash, it can make a ping pong ball jump.
Sound starts with vibrations then the vibrations hit the particles in the air. The particles bump into each other and they make a sound wave and then it goes into your ear.
The sound wave hits your eardrum and then it hits the three bones in your ear. It goes to the cochlea which has little hairs and then a message goes to your brain and that is how you can hear the sound.

Recount Writing-Going Fishing
Going fishing
On Saturday me and my family went to Kaitaia to go fishing at Ninety Mile beach.
First we looked for the right spot to go fishing.
My dad found some flat rocks right by the water.
We took all of our fishing gear down to the rocks and set up our fishing spot.
I got out my rod and I put some bait on my hook.
Next I cast out my fishing line.
I was waiting patiently for a fish to bite my bait.
I waited and I waited.
Suddenly there was a bite. I felt excited. I pulled the rod in.
I pulled in a big snapper. ¨Whoa!¨ I shouted. ¨Come and help me!¨ My dad ran over and helped me pull it in. I felt very excited.
It was amazing to catch a big snapper.SPLASH!! CRASH!!
After that we put the snapper in the chilly bin then we went home. I had an amazing day.
